Dr. Vishal Kher is a practicing periodontist and implantologist and an associate professor at the department of periodontics, V.S.P.M. dental college Nagpur. Following his natural urge to be a doctor, he did his graduation from S.P. dental College, Wardha in 2002. Having cleared the state post graduate entrance examination in his first attempt, he got admitted to Post graduate course in Periodontics at the same institute in 2003. His post graduate program in Periodontics at Wardha was an intensive one where he was exposed to many speciality periodontal surgical procedures. After completing M.D.S. course in 2006, he joined VSPM dental college, Nagpur where he is presently working in the capacity of associate professor.

He has attended numerous national conferences and presented scientific research papers at the same. Teaching is his profession and his passion. He has numerous publications to his credit. He was awarded the prize for best paper presentation in dissertation category at the National conference of Indian Society of Periodontology at Bangalore in 2010 for his research. He was the recipient of Dr. Deepak Kamdar award for best scientific paper by IDA member in 2009-2010 by IDA Nagpur branch. He maintains his private practice and is a consultant to many dental clinics as a periodontist and dental implantologist
